Forty-benefit years sophisticated, Serpico talks roughly his Southern Italian roots and upbringing, his era as an undercover overseer, and his appendix-NYPD liveliness in Europe and ultimately upstate New York. Adding their own recollections are his fellow officers, childhood connections, his West Side neighbors, and his admirers such as writer Luc Sante and actor John Turturro. With unprecedented entry to its subject and greater than before by original music by Jack White and an indigenous score by Brendan Canty of Fugazi, Antonino DAmbrosio creates a memorable, powerful portrait of an always-bustling public servant who nevertheless walks the stroll in his completely own unique mannerism.
